2012 summer camp
Below you will find links to photos taken at camp, and the training
courses we use at camp. These courses are not legal ANKC courses,
but have challenges approximately equivalent to excellent / masters
levels.
Exercises are completed prior to running the courses to give
handlers the skills to do the courses successfully.
CAMP ONE: 14th, 15th and 16th January
2012 Although we had a few wet patches, the rain did not dampen
spirits and all classes were completed, including a couple of impromptu
session. We all gained a better understanding of how Linda Mecklenberg
(and Ronda Carter) use our 5 basic "means of communication" to guide our
dogs around a course. And we learnt how to use these skills to help us
in our games classes.

COURSES
CAMP TWO: 27th, 28th and 29th January
2012. Rain tried to interrupt our good time, but did not succeed. We saw
a great improvement in our jumping skills, our discriminations and our
contact work.
Sorry, no photos available. The threat of rain kept me
from bringing out my camera!
COURSES
CAMP THREE: POSTPONED DUE TO
WEATHER: New dates still being decided. There may be one or two
positions available, since it is likely that we cannot choose a date
that will suit everyone.
Advanced handling: On a weekend in Feb or March, just being decided.
We will cover lots of different skills including distance
work and some tight twisty handling.
I am open
to requests by participants about what skills we want to work on. We
will be doing skill work and course work with video review of our course
work.
This camp is limited to trialling dogs only, and we will be selected
the 12 most suited dogs from the applicants.
How to book a
position: Just fill in an
application form and send it off to us at
caninefunsports@westnet.com.au Camp caters to all levels of agility
from raw beginners to advanced handlers. We organise people into groups
of similar skill, so everyone is challenged to improve. This is why our
applications ask for a little information about you and your dog. Click
the button for the link to the application form.
Camp 3: $130 for the whole camp
Payment will be required when your nomination for camp has been
acknowledge.

Very soon after we receive your
application we will be back in touch with you about payment details,
etc. If you need any further information about camp, don’t be shy about
contacting us on

These courses are aimed at approximately the excellent level,
although some of the challenges may be on the harder or easier side.
The green strip up the middle is some new turf planted just before
camp (after the installation of our lights cut up the training area)
I marked the new grass on the map to help me avoid creating areas of
heavy wear, while I designed the courses.
