![]() ![]() The Geronimo trophy is presented each year by Dennis and Dagmar Neal to the
winner of the Jumping Dog of the Year pointscore. There are about 12
regional qualifying heats held over the year from which the top 40 dogs and
handlers are invited to compete for the Jumping Dog of the Year Final held each year at the Festival
of Agility. The Geronimo Trophy is for the winner of that point score. The trophy is to honour a little
black "bullet" - a miniature poodle called To quote Dennis and Dagmar: The Geronimo Jumping Cup is in honour of a little dog that loves to jump. By 2005 when the Cup was first awarded, Geronimo had achieved his JDM Title 17 times with 120 Qualifying Certificates – including 58 first and 29 second places. We hope the Cup will provide recognition to future “jumping dogs” of distinction.
